HOW THE AUCTION INDUSTRY IS CHANGING

Karen Huelsman, President of Ohio Auctioneers Association, President of Innovative Auctions, WCR Dayton member and Irongate Realtor presents a discussion about the changing Auction business.

We are pleased to have one of our own WCR Dayton members with us to talk about how the Auction industry is changing as well as the many facets of our real estate business is driving change in the Auction industry.

Additionally. Karen and the Ohio Auctioneers Association is working with the Ohio Legislature to remove barriers to entry for new auctioneers in particular. They are working to replace a 1-yr apprenticeship program with a mentorship program.

Karen will discuss different types of auctions such as household, online auction sales, charity auctions and traditional onsite auctions. She will talk about specific areas of auctions such as dealing with hoarders and how the pandemic has changed auctions.

This will be very interesting!

We will also have a WCR Dayton Election Update and time to hear from Pat Corle who is running for Dayton Realtors’ Treasurer and Lauri Westheimer who is running for Dayton Realtors’ Director.
