What a special day we had at our last Lunch & Learn meeting!  Starting off with a “impromptu” way of having our Board of Director Candidates to share with us – by having to pick a card and answer the question… When you speak from the heart – it is amazing the connections that can be made!?  We heard from those candidates as to what makes them cry or gives them goosebumps; what they are most passionate about; and more.

Thanks to Bernadetter Gerren, Anne Goss, Kelly McCormick FOR Maura Schmitt, Kunal Patel and Kunal Patel FOR Jennifer Moore, Heather Haase and Joe Willen for making the time to share your passion for running / serving as Dayton Realtors Board of Directors.  Watch for the Board Email and REMEMBER TO VOTE !!

And then the magic happened!  Shannon Ryan shared with us her involvement (and her guests from) The Women’s Board of Dayton Children’s Hospital.  See additional Cha Cha 2021 info.

The sharing of stories continued – and YOU REALLY MISSED OUT on an emotional, inspiring and truly magical time!  Our Strategic Partner, Carrie Trotter, was able to attend and as her very personal and touching story of breast cancer was read by Anne Goss (and finished by Tammy) – there was truly not a dry eye in the room!  We had other members who shared their successful WIN against the same disease both  Cora Diggs and Bernadette Gerren were the example of determined strength necessary to persevere against the odds.  Greg Elmore shared that he is Chair for the American Cancer Society and implored that we all take the opportunity to DONATE as the funds received go directly towards research and that is how we have been able to make so many advances in treatments and cures.

PLEASE CONSIDER PARTICIPATING IN UPCOMING WALK-A-THONS or DONATING as October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  We’d love to put a group together and further show our support!!  (BTW we are sharing the written copy of Carrie’s story – it is not the same as hearing and seeing in person, but everyone who reads will be just as touched and maybe even someone will be encouraged to share their journey and / or take their mammogram as a result.)  Carrie Trotter My Breast Cancer Story #CarriesTribe

And last, certainly not least – our own President-Elect, INCOMING President, Missy Sansabrino, shared with us her determined drive to ensure school safety locks are able to be installed on local Beavercreek schools as well as her experience for walk/running in marathons to support LLS.
